Client: Giggs Personal Project
I was approached by Christopher Cargill, a photographer within the grime scene, who came to me with a concept for a photo he had shot of grime artist Giggs.
He wanted to add some typography to the image which would appear to come out of and be smoke but look as real as something like this could. Giggs loved it and published it on his Instagram followed by a million people, it got a great reaction from the great and the good and at its peak amassed 53,000 likes.
After selecting the most interesting word we settled on PECKHAM and I built the letters with real smoke and brushes. After finishing them I put them in the image blurring and distorting it to bed them into the image.
