The brief was to create a brand for a new 5 star ‘flashpacker’ hostel in a renovated department store in the centre of Liverpool.
After a lot of development on the name, HOAX was selected for the main hostel and HOPSKOTCH for the restaurant and bar. The final brand was that of an old found, a graphic that was handcrafted, yet also had a gritty and modern feel. I took this tone further with brooding colours, textures and ripped paper that referenced the layered and torn flysheets of modern cities.
